Two soil samples from pit features at Site 32NM212 in eastern Pennsylvania were floated to recover charred macrofloral remains. The area contains both Archaic and Late Woodland components, and charcoal from the pit features samples was separated for radiocarbon dating. Macrofloral analysis is used to provide information concerning possible plant resources that may have been utilized by the occupants of this site.

A total of eight macrofloral samples were recovered from seven possible features at the Rogers Archaeological Site near Sherburne, New York. Radiocarbon dates suggest Early to Late Woodland occupations. Samples from several sites in the Ancho Canyon Mine Area, New Mexico, were examined for macrofloral remains. This area appears to be one where several cultures overlapped. Radiocarbon dates range from 290 B.C. to A.D. 1870, representing Late Archaic through historic Jicarilla Apache occupations.
