JMA conducted a cultural resources investigation on Schodack-Houghtaling Island on behalf of the USACE - NY District. Three historic icehouse sites had previously been determined to be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places (OPRHP A03912.000111, A03912.000112 and A03912.000113). The Newbridge Site in Greene County, IL and the Carlin Site, in Calhoun County, are early Late Woodland sites in the lower Illinois River valley of west-central Illinois. Bonnie Styles undertook the faunal analysis of these sites as a part of her PhD dissertation.
