The USACE, Louisville District obtained the collection through an archaeological test excavation at the Pine Grove Site, Lake Monroe Reservoir in 1987. Limited excavations at the Pine Grove Site (12MO183) were done by GBL in contract with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Divisions of Reservoirs.
