This project contains the faunal remains recovered during excavations of a small portion of the Alameda School Site, LA 421, a Rio Grande Classic period pueblo in the Albuquerque area. Excavations occurred in the summer of 2008, resulting in the identification of 66 human burials (most from an early Classic Period Glaze A cemetery), one dog burial, and 69 non-burial pit features. Tijeras Pueblo (LA 581) is a Late Precontact, or Pueblo IV period (1275-1400), archaeological site located within the modern village of Tijeras, situated in Tijeras Canyon.
