The Monterey chert measures 4.9 by 3.3 by 1.2 centimeters. Retouch and utilization are restricted to one lateral margin of the chert and the notch is on the opposite margin. There is a high density of chert boulders on the surrounding slope, suggesting that this could be a resource area.
