Under contract to the National Park Service, the West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey undertook an archaeological survey for cultural resources in the East Lynn Reservoir, Wayne County, West Virginia (McMichael and Mairs 1965). The principal investigators were Edward McMichael and Oscar Mairs. Fieldwork was conducted in June 1964 and April 1965. This project contains data from 17 seasons of excavation from the Eaton Site in West Seneca, NY just south of the city of Buffalo. It is a multi-component site that was occupied intermittently from late Paleo-Indian times through the early 19th century when it contained a cabin on what was then the Buffalo Creek Reservation.
