A cultural resources survey of the Weapons Storage Area (WSA) Component impact area resulted in the discovery of one previously unknown archeological site (48-LA-71C). The Air Force, in consultation with the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO), has determined that this site is not eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Under the sponsorship of the Bureau of Reclamation, the New Waddell Dam Borrow Areas Mitigative Data Recovery Project, more simply known as the Waddell Project, performed data recovery at 17 sites in the vicinity of Lake Pleasant, Arizona.
