Summary

A cultural resources survey of the Weapons Storage Area (WSA) Component impact area resulted in the discovery of one previously unknown archeological site (48-LA-71C). The Air Force, in consultation with the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO), has determined that this site is not eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). In addition, a contractor's access route will use an existing road that transects the site of the Cheyenne Depot (48-LA-106). No impacts to this National Register-eligible property are anticipated as a result of this project. Consequently, this Peacekeeper Program Component will have no effect on properties listed in or eligible for listing in the NRHP.
