Monitoring Plan for the proposed undertaking of the restoration of septic systems at BAFS and Hickam AFB. The project proposed by the AMP is designed to identify historic project properties that might be exposed during the undertaking and to treat them appropriately. Ten work sites for the proposed undertaking are located at BAFS. They are distributed along the strip of land adjacent to the coast, north of Puha Stream.

Archaeological monitoring was conducted by T. S. Dye & Colleagues, Archaeologists, Inc., during ground disturbing activities associated with the Septic System Restoration project at Bellows Air Force Station, Hawai‘i, TMK: (1) 4–1–001:015. The ground disturbing activities that were monitored consisted of excavation for new septic tank systems at three locations, along with the removal of the existing cesspool systems. A single human burial was inadvertently discovered at the BAFS-6 work site.
