An Archaeological Survey of Section 11, T. IN, R. 24W in Harmon County, Oklahoma for an Air Force Drop Zone (1993)
This preliminary letter report outlines the results of an archaeological survey conducted in Section 11, T. IN, R. 24W in Harmon County, Oklahoma for the environmental group of LABAT-Anderson Inc., who is studying the feasibility of using the section for a new air force drop zone. In total, 4 archaeological sites, 30 isolated occurrences, and 2 currently in-use facilities were identified within the section inspected for this project.

The U.S. Air Force, through contractual services with LABAT-ANDERSON Incorporated, conducted an archeological field investigation in Harmon County, Oklahoma. Four archeological assistants under the direct supervision of Joseph K. Anderson of the Museum of the Great Plains (MGP) performed the investigation between October 4 and 10, 1993. The investigation involved the examination of 640 acres [259.2 hectares (ha)].
Cultural Resource Assessment, Altus Air Force Base, Jackson County, Oklahoma (1995)
A cultural resource assessment of prehistoric and historic resources was conducted for Altus Air Force Base between January 9-13, 1995, by the National Park Service. The assessment was part of the cultural resource archeological baseline survey requested by Headquarters Air Education and Training Command. No archeological resources were identified in the 43.10-hectare (106.5-acre) area and no further archeological investigations are recommended for the proposed housing parcel.

A Multicultural Resource Inventory, Altus Air Force Base, Jackson County, Oklahoma (1987)
This report provides the results of a Class III cultural resource inventory of a designated 1,100 acres on property currently owned and maintained by Altus Air Force Base, Jackson County, Oklahoma. Fieldwork was conducted over a five-day period between March 20 and March 24, 1987. Three historic sites and one historic isolated find (34JK42-44; 34JKO) were located during this inventory. All of these resources have been subjected to disturbances, and lack any intact, subsurface integrity.
