The Southwest Germann site is among the largest of prehistoric Hohokam settlements in the Queen Creek area. The Rohrig Substation property is located at its southwestern edge and overlaps a previously unreported habitation locus. A soapstone pipe fragment was found at 48SW14906, an NRHP-eligible prehistoric site near the Eden Reservoir in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, by archaeologists working for Kail Consulting. Prehistoric chipped stone bifaces, metaquartzite and chert debitage, and five fire-cracked rock scatters were also found at 48SW14906.

In the late 1890s, the Hyde Exploring Expedition collected over 650 finished ornaments from Room 28 in Pueblo Bonito.
