During April 1993, Advanced Sciences, Inc. conducted a cultural resource and threatened and endangered species survey of six proposed and existing Lightning Early Warning System (LEWS) sensor locations scattered throughout land leased by Sandia National Laboratories/New Mexico (SNL/NM). Chambers Group, Inc. has completed a cultural resource survey on Kirtland Air Force Base for ancillary facilities associated with the Starfire Optical Research Facility.
