Monitor Report: Trench Along Diamond Creek Way, Fort D. A. Russell National Historic Landmark, Wyoming (2004)
In April 2004, Richard Bryant monitored trenching operations along Diamond Creek Way in the Fort D. A. Russell National Historic Landmark. The trench is about 24 inches wide and four feet deep. The trench begins on the south edge of Diamond Creek Way just north of Building 355 and runs east along the road, then turns southeast and runs to the west side of Building 356. No artifacts related to 48-LA-71DD or the POW occupation of the area were found.

During June and July of 1999, Rick Bryant, the Historic Preservation Officer at F. E. Warren Air Force Base, monitored environmental testing of Landfills 2a and 2b on the base. The landfills are in and around an intermittent drainage, and test wells had identified potential ground water contamination.
