SWCA surveyed 50.00 acres on behalf of Kirtland Air Force Base and identified six archaeological sites and 10 IOs. One archaeological site (LA 194069) is a newly recorded site. Data from ARMS suggested that the survey area would also encounter LA 107704, LA 108123, LA 121916, LA 121919, and LA 138016. In 2006, HHM, Inc. conducted a cultural resources survey consisting of an archaeological survey and a historic resources survey of the Naval Weapons Station family housing in support of the Public/Private Venture (PPV) initiative for the transfer of family housing units to private control. The archaeological survey confirmed the location of a previously identified multi-component site (38BK1271) that included a historic cemetery.
