MB #33 Precontact Site, Moreau, NY

The resources in this collection pertain to the MB #33 precontact site in Moreau, Saratoga County, NY, on the Batten Kill in the eastern part of the state. The site consists of several features dating to the Late Woodland period (c. AD 1280-1450). Analysis includes examination of faunal and floral materials recovered from hearths and radiocarbon dates. The site is located in a part of the Northeast traditionally associated with the Mohicans.
