U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Huntington District archaeological collections were sent to the Veterans Curation Program's (VCP) Alexandria, Virginia laboratory in September 2014. There was no background information for this collection. A printed artifact catalog was found in one box. The catalog was given to the archival lab manager, Jessica Mundt, to create an archival collection. No digital copy was found by the VCP or the Archaeological Collections Facility, Grave Creek Mound Historic Site archaeologist. The VCP could not determine why this investigation was initiated or who supervised the fieldwork.
The digital materials in this collection were processed by the Veterans Curation Program (VCP), and include an artifact catalog, artifact photographs, artifact report, finding aid, original investigation inventory and a scanned asset key. Additional digital materials held by the VCP include document folder listing, initial data collection, and notes. For additional information on these materials, refer to the finding aid.
