Preservation of Antiquities
Summary
This is a section of a compilation of short reports, Anthropological Miscellanea, included in this issue of American Anthropologist. Hewett's portion of the miscellanea discusses the transfer of land from the administration of the National Forest Reserves to the Bureau of Forestry under the Department of the Interior. This has implications to the prehistoric ruins of the Southwest because legislation must now be targeted towards the Department of the Interior rather than the National Forest Reserves. Hewett's report also presents proposed amendments to the bill for discussion before it is reintroduced to Congress.
