EXAMINATION OF BULK SOIL FOR RADIOCARBON DATABLE MATERIAL FROM BUCKLEY DRAW, PROVO, UTAH
Author(s): Kathryn Puseman
Year: 2001
Summary
Five bulk soil samples from Buckley Draw alluvial-fan deposits in southeast Provo, Utah,
were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. These samples
were examined as part of the Buckley Draw debris-flow study. Botanic components and detrital
charcoal were identified in each sample, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was
separated.
