Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings
Year: 2001
Summary
Thirty-one phytolith samples and two pollen samples were examined from 41CW54,
reported in 99-60. Eighteen of these samples represent stratigraphic deposits that included four
occupations. One sample was collected off-site as a control sample, and the remaining twelve
samples were collected from sediments associated with tools, including gouges, flakes, and points,
or from a paleochannel. Radiocarbon ages from the paleochannel range from 7560 ± 100 BP to
6650 ± 40 BP. The two pollen samples represent the paleochannel.
