Summary
"This survey, conducted by the South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation for the Federal Highway Administration, is in compliance with the Secretary of Interior's Standards and Guidelines (published in the Federal Register, September 29, 1983). The survey was conducted on July 8, 1992. Initial consultation with personnel from the State Historic Preservation Office. (SHPO) at the South Carolina Department of Archives and History occurred on July 7, 1992. The survey, analysis and report preparation were conducted by Wayne D. Roberts of the South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation. The site form and artifacts are to be transferred to the South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology for permanent curation."

General Note: "Two sites. one archaeological and one historical. were identified as a result of the survey. Archaeological site 38AK503 is a Middle Archaic lithic scatter and a late nineteenth/early twentieth century historic scatter. This site is not eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. The site offers little research potential. No additional investigations are recommended."
