Report of the Archaeological Reconnaissance of the Proposed New Taxiway, Huntington Municipal Airport, Huntington, Indiana

Summary

The proposed project is the expansion of the existing Huntington Municipal Airport in Huntington, Indiana. The proposed expansion is to consist of the construction of a new taxiway approximately 3600' long, north of and parallel to the existing runway (see Maps 1 & 2). As a part of this study, the present author requested the archaeological laboratory of Ball State University to conduct an archaeological records review on the project area. No evidence of prehistoric occupation was found.
