Summary

As the exploration into the political and legal relationships between the United States and Indian Tribes continues into the area of building codes and regulations for non-modern and ancient traditional methods, what transpires here at Wah-ho-ga may have a broad range effect upon traditional structures in other Native American territories all over the nation where traditional ceremonial practices occur. The current building codes based upon far different construction methods and materials cannot grade the stability of a traditional ceremonial structure but have been used to degrade the cultural integrity and traditional significance of the current structure.
