Lower Colorado Region, Historic Building Reconnaisance Survey
Author(s): Christine Pfaff
Year: 1997
Summary
The purpose of this study was to verify and correct the information in Reclamation’s Resource Information System (RIS, previously called LAPS) data base on Reclamation-owned buildings in the Lower Colorado Region that are more than forty years old. An additional aim of the study was to identify through research and fieldwork other forty-plus year old buildings that are Reclamation-owned that have never been entered in the data base. The survey covered buildings only; structures are listed separately in RIS and were not within the scope of this study. Information on all buildings surveyed has been entered on inventory forms that are designed to be compatible with the RIS data forms. The level of survey completed is considered reconnaisance although for certain buildings more comprehensive information was readily available through research and has been included. The study was completed between April 1996 and January 1997.
