Summary

This document is a Section 106 Identification of Historic Properties for the Public Safety Radio Upgrade at the Ground-to-Air Transmission and Receiving (GATR) Site Project. The proposed project would install new receiver/transmitter antennas, radios, a global positioning system receiver, and associated racks and hardware at the GATR Site, located on the peak of Oak Mountain on the south base portion of Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB). VSFB requests concurrence from the State Historic Preservation Office that the Area of Potential Effects for the County of Santa Barbara Public Safety Radio Upgrade at the GATR Site is adequately delineated. Additionally, VSFB requests concurrence that P-42-041281, Building 51, is not eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Cultural Resources concluded that there proposed undertaking would result in no historic properties affected.
