Author(s): Josh Smallwood; Roscoe Loetzerich
Year: 2020
Summary
This document is a Section 110 National Register Eligibility Re-evaluation of the Peacekeeper Rail Garrison Test Site. The purpose of this study is to review previous investigations pursuant to the National Register of Historic Places (NHPA); to identify the extant buildings and structures of the Peacekeeper Rail Garrison Test Site complex; to document the buildings and structures on California Department of Parks & Recreation recording forms (placed on file with the California Office of Historic Preservation); and to more broadly re-evaluate the built environment for eligibility for inclusion in the NRHP. The results of this study indicate that the Peacekeeper Rail Garrison Test Site District fails to meet any criteria for NRHP eligibility, and its previous determination of NRHP eligibility should be overturned.
