Summary

An archaeological survey of approximately 2.86 acres of property situated within Area I, Sandia National Laboratories, Kirtland Air Force Base, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, yielded no cultural resources. The survey was conducted on three linear segments measuring approximately 0.95 kilometers (0.59 mi) in length. These three segments along with another 1.22 kilometers (0.76 mi) in proposed alignments situated within areas that have previously been surveyed, are scheduled for construction of a proposed 12. 47 kV underground powerline loop. No significant artifacts or cultural features were observed within these proposed alignments.

Cultural resource clearance is recommended for construction of this underground powerline loop as no significant cultural resources will be effected by this proposed undertaking.
