Summary

On 23 June, 1986, Barbara J. Hickman of Mariah Associates Inc. conducted a Class III cultural resource inventory of the right-of-way for the proposed Western Area Power Administration's F.E. Warren Air Force Base 115KV Transmission Line. This approximately 2621 meter (8600ft.) right-of way is located in Sections 4 and 5 of T13N, R67W, and Section 33 of T14N, R67 in Laramie County, Wyoming. One site, an historic trail (48LA448: the Cheyenne and Black Hills Stage Road), was previously recorded in Sections 33 and 4; no other prehistoric or historic sites were identified during the survey. Although 48LA488 is eligible as a whole, the segment within the right-of-way has been previously impacted. No further cultural resource investigation is recommended in the project area.
