Summary

Three sites, 48LA635, 48LA649, and 48LA669, were tested by LTA, Inc. at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. The object of the testing was to gather sufficient information to assess each site's eligibility for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.

Subsurface artifacts were not encountered at 48-LA-635 or 48-LA-649. Site 48-LA-635 appears to be entirely a surface manifestation with only three prehistoric artifacts present. The areas recorded as cairns and tipi rings at these sites are believed to be natural features.

The cultural materials at 48-LA-669 are interpreted to be a pre-World War I dump. Pending possible Native American consultations, none of the three sites are believed to be eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.
