Year: 2020
Summary
Corona Partners, LP is proposing to construct Avalon Villas, a multifamily, affordable housing project, at 825 West Broadway Road in Phoenix, Arizona using low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC) provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HOME funds awarded by the City of Phoenix (COP). The project site is currently privately owned vacant land and is zoned as a multifamily residence. Because the proposed project is receiving federal funding it is subject to compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, and because the project is within the boundaries of the COP, it is subject to Chapter 8, Section 802[B2] of the City of Phoenix's Historic Preservation Ordinance. Since the project is on private land, it is also subject to A.R.S. §41-865.
