Summary
This is an abstract from the "Crafting a Legacy in Archaeology: Papers Celebrating the Career of Ken Hirth" session, at the 90th annual meeting of the Society for American Archaeology.
This presentation is a discussion of Ken Hirth's academic and professional contributions to the anthropology and archaeology program at the University of Kentucky when we were colleagues there in the 1980s and 90s. It also entails Ken's brief career in Peru where we first met, and other aspects of our friendship and collegiality over the past four decades.
