Summary
This is an abstract from the "SAA 2025: Individual Abstracts" session, at the 90th annual meeting of the Society for American Archaeology.
Late Archaic shell rings in the southeastern United States have unique depositional histories and site formations. One way to explore these shell deposits is to conduct photogrammetric analysis on shell stratigraphy. In this poster, I present the photogrammetry methods and preliminary results conducted on shell wall profiles at the Musgrove Shell Ring on St. Catherines Island, Georgia. The results help visualize depositional events at the Musgrove Shell Ring and allow for a comparison of depositional histories with the two additional Late Archaic shell rings on St. Catherines Island.
