Maya Hieroglyphic Database
Summary
Maya Hieroglyphic Database (MHD) includes two main components. The Catalog Database lists all the currently known graphemes, the functional units of the Maya script. The Text Database is a comprehensive listing of the hieroglyphic texts themselves coded for a variety of characteristics. The Texts Database is divided into two tables with identical column headings, so they can be easily combined if needed by the researcher if needed. The "Texts_Codical" file consists of three manuscripts, the Dresden, Madrid, and Paris codices. The "Texts_Classic" file consists of all non-codical texts from all periods but largely from the Classic period.
