Blue Creek Central Precinct
Summary
Multi-format digital data set that focuses on the central precinct of the Blue Creek site, which is composed of Plaza A and B complexes.
These data consist of PDF documents of published and unpublished papers, reports, and manuscripts, Microsoft Excel databases of artifact collections, images of architectural features, artifacts and surrounding landscapes, scanned topographic and survey maps produced by the Blue Creek project, and aerial images. The information contained in BCAP reports and manuscripts will be cross-referenced with digital geo-spatial information, images, and feature/artifact data sets from the central precinct. At the macro level, these data sets will include topographic and soils maps produced by various public agencies, topographic and survey maps produced by the Blue Creek project, images taken by project members, and aerial photos from public sources and those produced by C-Dimension of Plano, Texas, under contract with MRP. For each building and/or feature excavation, a wide range of digital information will be integrated, including pre- and post-excavation drawings, photos, stratigraphic profiles, and written descriptions and field notes.
