Ceramic sherds from the Ravens Nest site (48SU3871) in Sublette County, Wyoming, were submitted for organic residue analysis. Samples were tested for organic residues using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Organic residue analysis provides information regarding diet, specifically plants and/or animals processed using ceramic vessels at this site.

A fire-cracked rock recovered from a component stain at site 48SU3000 in Sublette County, Wyoming was submitted for organic residue analysis. The fire-cracked rock was tested for organic residues using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Organic residue analysis was used to provide information regarding diet and artifact function.

One soil sample from Site 48SU6933, the Gobblers Know 327 site, was submitted for examination of pollen remains. This prehistoric open camp is located in Sublette County, southwestern Wyoming. Prehistoric camp site 48SU7579, situated on a northwesterly extending ridge finger, lies at an elevation of 7030 ft overlooking the Alkali Creek drainage valley. Two areas, Blocks A and B, date to the Opal Phase of the Early Archaic. Feature fill was collected from four features for pollen analysis to assess their use and provide paleoenvironmental information. The Blue Rim Site is a prehistoric open camp located on a finger ridge extending from the south flank of Blue Rim towards the highway. The Phalanx Pho Site (48SU7506) is located on a large upland bench overlooking the New Fork River in the upper Green River Basin. Site discoveries included 22 scattered features, three semi-circular-shaped feature clusters, and three large charcoal-stained sandy areas. Radiocarbon dates ranged from 5720 ± 30 to 4110 ± 30 BP. Site 48SU2800, located in the northern portion of the Green River Basin, yielded evidence of an Archaic occupation. Radiocarbon dates of 3050 ± 40 BP and 3990 ± 40 BP are reported for two of the features.
