The Museum of Northern Arizona conducted an intensive survey for cultural resources at the proposed site of the Concho Pipeline Booster Station and an adjacent access road located north of St. Johns, Apache County, Arizona. Although the area is overlain by abundant pebbles from the Shinarump conglomerate member of the Chinle Formation which would provide lithic resources, no artifacts or sites were found. The Museum of Northern Arizona conducted an intensive survey of the proposed Coronado-Concho Wellfield Distribution transmission line in two phases: 1) a preliminary survey of the entire line (0.75 mi.), and 2) a specific inspection of over 18 pole locations. Three sites have been recorded within the project area. The direct impact of the proposed construction is insignificant; however, the indirect impact of vehicular traffic is considerable. Between July 10 and July 15, 1977, 3.88 miles of right-of-way expansion was surveyed along the Coronado Generating Station Coal Haul Railroad approximately 18 miles north of St. Johns, Arizona. Six wellsite sets in the Salt River Project Coronado Generating Station Patterson Wellfield were surveyed for archaeological resources by the Museum of Northern Arizona in October, 1976. One archaeological site, NA14,608, was found, requiring the relocation of one wellsite, P-1M. Archaeological clearance is recommended for wellsite sets P-1, P-1M, P-3, P-5, P-11, and P-12.

On September 22, 1977 and October 12, 1977, the Museum of Northern Arizona conducted clearance surveys in the Patterson Wellfield adjacent to the main plant site of the Coronado Station.
