On 13 June 1985 during construction of an underground line, the construction contractor encountered a buried foundation. The Base Construction Inspector's office was notified immediately. The base archaeologist inspected the location and monitored the remaining construction in the area of the foundation. The Phase II investigations served to both confirm previously identified cultural components and identify previously unrecorded occupations. Of the 12 sites investigated, only 40CF124 is recommended as eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
