Samples from features at Site 5MT11950 in southwest Colorado were analyzed for pollen and macrofloral remains. This site represents a late Pueblo III Mesa Verde Anasazi habitation. Pollen and/or macrofloral samples were recovered from a classic Mesa Verde style kiva, a probable kiva, a slab-lined fire box, and a slab-lined hearth. POLLEN AND MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS AT SITE 5MT11958, COLORADO (1999)
Single pollen and flotation samples were recovered from a rubble concentration at Site 5MT11958 in southwestern Colorado. This site represents a late Pueblo II habitation. The rubble mound appears to represent a salvage pile of rocks that were intended to be used as masonry stones for construction of a structure. The pollen and macrofloral samples were collected from fill near the bottom of the concentration.

Sediment from features representing both Pueblo I and Pueblo II occupations at Site 5MT7522 in southwest Colorado were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. Pollen and macrofloral analyses will be used to provide information concerning plant resources available to and utilized by the Pueblo I and Pueblo II occupants of the site.
