The fill of a large storage pit/refuse pit at the Brink Farm site (A10709.000012) in south central New York was examined for macrofloral remains. Two charcoal samples from this pit also were identified to determine the best charcoal to process for AMS radiocarbon analysis. Site LA 49490 is a Jornada Mogollon Glencoe Phase village site located in Ruidoso Downs, Lincoln County, New Mexico. Pollen and macrofloral samples were collected from pits and a burned pithouse. A single sample (14) was submitted for pollen, starch, and phytolith analysis from a pit exposed at site NP7. This pit yielded a calibrated radiocarbon age of AD 29-390, indicating late or transitional Pre-Latte Phase Marianas occupation. The pit is located at the edge of a wetland in the Miyama Hills. Modem vegetation includes Pandanus and Heterospathe palms.
