During April 1993, Advanced Sciences, Inc. conducted a cultural resource and threatened and endangered species survey of six proposed and existing Lightning Early Warning System (LEWS) sensor locations scattered throughout land leased by Sandia National Laboratories/New Mexico (SNL/NM). A cultural resource survey of approximately 13.3 acres of property situated within Cibola National Forest withdrawn lands, Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB), Bernalillo County, New Mexico, was recently completed at two locales proposed for geophysical test alignments.
