Summary
This report summarizes the results of Phase Ill site documentation and other field studies concluded at Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB). During site revisits, a number of new sites were recorded. In addition, other surveys were conducted. These included a survey of Installation Restoration Program (IRP) sites, an intensive reconnaissance of arroyo cutbanks, a survey of the High Energy Research and Technology Facility (HERTF) antennae range at KAFB, and the ADAL water base survey. The results of all of these field studies are summarized in the present document. The report details the environment, prehistory and history of KAFB; presents a detailed research design for ongoing studies at KAFB; describes field methods; and synthesizes all project results. Results are also described by project. Laboratory results are analyzed. The report concludes with an assessment of National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility for all sites documented or redocumented as a part of the contract.
