Archeological investigations were undertaken in the spring of 1999 at the Summer Kitchen/Stone building and the Ice House at Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site. Archeological testing and mitigation was performed on the Old Commissary, HS 5, at Fort Lamed National Historic Site in partial compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act as amended.
