3D Scanning and Documentation of Rockart Features on Petroglyph Trail at Chaco Culture National Historical Park

In this project, the Leica C10 and Breuckmann SmartScanHE were used to document petroglyphs and the associated cliff face located on Petroglyph Trail between Pueblo Bonito and Chetro Ketl in Chaco Culture National Historical Park. The Leica Scanstation C10 scanner was used be to scan the lower cliff wall along the petroglyph trail (approximately 1 km long) at an average resolution of 0.5 – 3 cm. Chaves-Hummingbird Archaeological Project

This project consists of archaeological excavations conducted by Southern Methodist University, Arizona State University, and University of Colorado at Chaves-Hummingbird Pueblo (LA578), a large Pueblo IV settlement located in the Rio Puerco Valley of central New Mexico. As part of this project, archaeological materials were also analyzed from Pottery Mound Pueblo (LA416).

The Eastern Mimbres Archaeological Project (EMAP), co-directed by Drs. Margaret Nelson and Michelle Hegmon began in 1990, building upon earlier work by Nelson. EMAP focuses on the later (post-AD 1000) prehistory of the eastern Mimbres area, a portion of the Mimbres region in southwest New Mexico. Mimbres Periphery Study
PROJECT
The Mimbres Periphery Study focuses on Mimbres Mogollon adaptations and settlement in areas outside of the main Mimbres River Valley in Southwestern New Mexico. It was initiated by Robert J. Stokes in 1995 as a Ph.D. graduate student at the University of Oklahoma, and includes survey and excavation projects.

Ojo Bonito Archaeological Project (OBAP)

A survey and excavation project directed by Keith Kintigh and executed from 1983 through 1994. Approximate 58km2 were surveyed and 560 sites were recorded. Substantial excavations were undertaken at the Hinkson Site great house complex and Jaralosa Pueblo.
