Summary
This report presents the results of Phase II archaeological testing of 11 sites on the Poinsett Electronic Combat Range, Sumter County, South Carolina (38SU56, 38SU60, 38SU106, 38SU153, 38SU157, 38SU163, 38SU167, 38SU169, 38SU204, 38SU205, 38SU230). Of these 11 sites, seven are prehistoric and four are historic. The sites are located in the Coastal Plain of South Carolina. All of the sites are located on land owned by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and the testing was conducted in order to assess each site’s eligibility for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
