ETHNOARCHAEOLOGY OF PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITIES XOCHITECATL-CACAXTLA.

Author(s): Mari Carmen Serra Puche

Year: 2015

Summary

The archaeological site Xochitecatl-Cacaxtla gave ample evidence of productive activities in different residential areas of the settlement.

The research has been enriched with ethnoarchaeological studies we have conducted on the current production of handmade ceramics, textiles, lapidary and mezcal in the communities of the region of Tlaxcala.

This diversity of productive activities allow us to create a map of the "city" of Xochitecatl-Cacaxtla distinguishing areas specializing in the production of consumer goods and trade.
