Summary

In October 1988, construction began on the Priest Road bridge at the Western Canal. The City of Tempe is widening the bridge and thet Salt River project (SRP), in conjunction with this construction, is putting a new 21-in. sewer line and a water line across the canal west of Priest Road. At the request of Judy Brunson, SRP archaeologist, Soil Systems, Inc. (SSI) monitored the excavation of the backhoe trench for the sewer line across the canal.
