Eleventh Annual Report of Historic Properties at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Mesa, Arizona

Summary

This document presents the eleventh annual (Year 11) report detailing the management of historic properties by the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority (PMGAA) at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (Gateway) from 1 May 2008 to 30 September 2009. Gateway is located at the former Williams Air Force Base (WAFB) in Mesa, Arizona. Within Gateway, 14 historic properties have been identified: five World War II hangars and nine prehistoric archaeological sites (Figure 1). Activities at Gateway for Year 11 include delisting two archaeological sites, conducting consultation regarding the use of Hanger 24, and monitoring construction on several taxiways.
