A Cultural Resource Survey Report for the Development of Multi-Use and Equestrian Trails Along the Consolidated Canal Lateral 9.5 (Wallace Feeder No. 3) Between Lindsay and Cooper Roads, Gilbert, Maricopa, Arizona
Author(s): David Webb
Year: 2006
Summary
Using Federal Highway funds administered by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), the Town of Gilbert plans to construct two additional phases of the Western Powerline Trail between Lindsay and Cooper roads. Improvements will include a new segment of sidewalk along the west side of Neely Street between the SRP Lateral 9.5 (Wallace Feeder No. 3) right-of-way and Aviary Way. In conjunction with the new trail segments, the town plans to develop park facilities adjacent to the trail in their downtown area. The SRP Lateral 9.5 right-of-way was previously surveyed (Aguila et al. 1998). This report addresses the cultural resource survey of vacant parcels located near the intersection of Gilbert Road and the Western Powerline Utility Easement, and a 30-ft-wide strip of land between Neely Street and Cooper Road.
This is submittal number 2.
