Summary
Trico Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Trico), is requesting renewal of their Circuit 82 right-of-way (ROW) grant across Bureau of Land Management (BLM)-administered land in Pima County, Arizona. SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) was contracted by Trico to conduct an archaeological survey of the ROW to assist the BLM in analyzing the effects on cultural resources that would result from the BLM’s renewal of the ROW.
Archaeological survey of the ROW resulted in the identification of one archaeological site and three IOs. AZ AA:11:235 (ASM) is a small Hohokam ceramic sherd scatter, representing multiple vessels, and two flaked stone artifacts. AZ AA:11:235 (ASM) is recommended eligible for listing in the NRHP under Criterion D for its information potential. The three IOs include a scatter of five ceramic sherds, a mano, and a flake. The IOs are not considered eligible for listing in the NRHP.
