Unanticipated Discovery Report
Summary
On 09 Jul 07, kids playing about 50 yards north of Quarters 73 uncovered a feature of bricks and charcoal. The bricks were built into a square about 18" x 18" and about one foot deep. The interior was filled with charcoal\ash. It appears to be the remains of a chimney. Since we have original plans of the buildings and maps of their locations, nothing new could be learned from excavating the feature. It was reburied.
