In May 1976, at the request of the Salt River Project, an archaeological clearance investigation of 16 20-acre mining claims on Bureau of Land Management land and a quarter section of state land south of St. Johns, Arizona, was conducted by the Museum of Northern Arizona. 18 archaeological sites were located and recorded.
